Many people ask me, how do I protect myself from all my haunted dolls in my museum? I tell them, very carefully! I do not sell my haunted dolls. I do put them on display with signs that say "Do not touch." I allow paranormal investigators to use their equipment and do their own investigation on my dolls.
Haunted Dolls and How to Take Care of Those Vessels

The only way to really protect yourself from a haunted vessel is to put them in some type of glass box or wood box. You can do a protective sigil or an angel sigil or Archangel Michael prayer under the doll itself. It depends on your religious denomination or the path that you follow. For example, if you have a "Christian" background and want to start collecting haunted dolls, I recommend not collecting if you have small children, young animals, or senior animals in the home.
One must be right of mind. If you are emotionally or mentally vulnerable, dealing with sleep disruption, or managing intense psychological conditions, I would not recommend collecting haunted dolls. Spirits can take advantage of emotional exhaustion and distress. Ghosts attached to dolls can affect someone who is weak of body or mind.
It is irresponsible for people to sell haunted vessels without caution. It could be paintings, jewelry, rings, or dollhouses. Haunted dolls are especially popular. Sellers on eBay and Etsy often claim their items are haunted. Know that there are two types of collectors: those who like spooky-looking dolls (painted to look scary but not haunted), and those who want genuine haunted vessels that may not look scary at all.
Haunted vessels can be anywhere from 50 to 150 years old. In my 25 years of experience, I can say this for sure: I believe that child spirits do not remain attached to earthly objects. Spirits may pretend to be a child. They appear vulnerable, show up in dreams as children, and may manifest as childlike shadows. But these are manipulations.
Children, after death, whether it’s natural or not, are reunited with God, the universe, or their ancestors. They are innocent and quickly cross over. The spirit may be playing on your compassion and good intentions by appearing as a childlike presence. That does not make it safe.
It might start out seeming harmless: keys being moved, cabinets opening, chairs shifting. “Oh, it’s just the little ghost girl!” But that’s not something to laugh off. That’s a disembodied spirit or poltergeist. If someone says a haunted doll has a good spirit of a child, I would advise deep caution. Spirits, in my experience, are complex. They can behave in ways that seem good or bad, but they are not innocent children.

If you’re serious about collecting haunted vessels, get them from a reputable paranormal investigator. Don’t buy from eBay or Etsy. Go to conventions, meet real collectors, and ask questions. What kind of investigation was done? What tools were used, such as divination, EMF, or spirit boxes? If someone just "feels" like a doll is haunted, that’s not enough. That’s a red flag.
Look for antique or vintage dolls. A doll that’s 100 to 150 years old is more likely to have an attachment. I own many dolls like that. Some of them were loved so deeply that the energy of that love remained. That love stays in the fabric, the wood, the composition. Every time someone combed that doll’s hair with love, they left a trace.
But even those can be haunted. So keep your dolls contained: lucite box, glass case, wooden chest. Add a protective seal, angelic, symbolic, or prayerful, inside and outside the box.
If you want to display them, use a locked glass hutch with a light. Test from a distance. Use your equipment. Keep them confined. Don’t put haunted dolls in bedrooms, near mirrors, or in the living room. Keep them in a designated space. Just like animals have crates or kennels, haunted objects need secure containment.
Sometimes haunted dolls are found in thrift stores. Price doesn’t reflect power. A three-dollar doll can be just as haunted as a three-hundred-dollar one. Haunted clothing exists. Wedding dresses are notorious. Paintings too. Anything someone has held, cried on, or worn carries an energetic imprint.

I currently own over 100 haunted dolls, marionettes, puppets, statues, trunks, and jewelry. My collection is carefully protected. They have their own room. Many are in glass cases. I pray over them monthly and use various protections inside and outside the room. I don’t let my animals inside. I don’t let just anyone in, especially not people under 18. Spirits can interact with innocence in unpredictable ways.
If you suspect an item in your home is haunted, encase it. Add a protective signature to the box, hutch, or cabinet. That way, the spirit can be observed without physical contact. I pray over each new vessel and set boundaries. I remind them this is a house of love. I set clear rules for my space, and those rules are respected.
I do travel with some dolls, but never with the heavily haunted ones. If someone wants to visit my Haunted Doll Museum, take pictures or videos, that’s fine. But those vessels stay in their containers. I don’t judge people who tour with haunted dolls. I do it too. But I’m very careful which ones leave the room. Chaos follows the truly haunted ones. Chaos energy is real.
Spirits are neutral but unpredictable. There’s a spiritual war going on that most can’t see. Spirits can affect your home, your animals, your dreams, your health. Just be careful. I’m not saying don’t collect. I’m saying know what you’re dealing with.
Imagine adopting a wild baby tiger. You wouldn’t let it roam free in your house. You’d prepare containment. Same with haunted dolls. That spirit can have the power of a tiger. Some ghosts, after so long in the shadows, forget they were human. They can shapeshift, manipulate, and mimic. They may act like a child, but they are not a child.
If you have questions or suspect a doll is haunted, contact me. My consultations are free. I can help you with basic equipment and guide you on your journey.
I love all my dolls. But I don’t let love blind me. They are wild. Contain them, lock them up, and enjoy them safely. Let others enjoy your collection from a distance.
